Summary

In February 2006 I left fulltime employment to pursue freelance and contract work and run my own business. Currently I am seeking contract work with companies in the Vancouver area. I have a passion for working with companies with community and socially minded attitudes.

Prior to leaving employment last February, I worked for PhotoChannel Networks in downtown Vancouver. In sum it is basically a digital distribution company. I was part of building an extensible software platform for retailers fulfilling digital print orders and sharing music via the Internet. Our third party clients include Walmart Canada, CVS, Black's Photo, etc. A current running version can be seen running for Walmart Canada

My role there was to design and implement the user interface for the software with usability, customization, and extensibility in mind. The software is XHTML/CSS driven for flexibility - necessary to allow us to change the look and customize features across multiple clients.

Previous to this I worked doing design, flash programming, and CSS development for companies such as k1technology and blendermedia

in Progress:  Kept Simple CMS

Over the past year, I've seen a need with my clients for an easy to use CMS app for their sites. I did some searching for CMS's with nice, clean, easy to use interfaces and came up short of what I wanted. So, I decided to build my own!

While not complete, the CMS is being built with tools RubyonRails and Javascript.
